Welcome to The Spine Dragon website. I am Mr Michael J H McCarthy, Consultant Spinal Surgeon working in Cardiff, Wales.

About this Site

This website has been created to help patients understand more about spinal problems and their solutions.

The first question you must be asking is, “Why is it called Spine Dragon?” The answer is simple. I am a Spinal Surgeon and was born in the Chinese Year of the Dragon, the great country of Wales has a dragon on its flag and fortuitously I moved to Wales to take up my Consultant post on the Chinese New Year – the Year of the Dragon 2012!
